South Beach and Miami Beach

Most people from outside of Miami do not realize that South Beach and Miami Beach are two different areas. Anyone interested in seeing a real coral reef close up needs to spend some time in Biscayne Bay. This family-friendly beach area offers restaurants, swimming, and snorkelling for everyone to enjoy.

Miami Seaquarium

Biscayne Bay has an island called Virginia Key, and that is where thousands of people a year find the Miami Seaquarium. It is the oldest sea study facility in the United States and it has plenty of ways for you to get up close and personal with sea life. You can see dolphins and killer ways performing daily and you can also learn a great deal about the sea life that is found in the ocean waters around Miami.

Zoo Miami

If it has been a while since you last visited Miami, then you may remember the Zoo Miami when it was called the Miami MetroZoo. Over 500 species of animals are housed in this facility that first opened in 1948. You can visit the famous Monkey House and then take the monorail tour around the entire facility.

Venetian Causeway

The Venetian Causeway is the massive span that connects downtown Miami with the South Beach area. People come from all over to see the Causeway because it is one of the oldest causeways in the country. Construction was completed in 1925 and crossing the Venetian Causeway is still one of the most exciting experiences for people who visit the Miami area. Whether you are traveling by air or road, the city of Miami is there for everyone to explore. From Biscayne Bay to the downtown area, it is easy to find something that interests you in Miami. The area is well known for its golf courses as well as for its shopping. Families will find plenty to do among the zoos, museums, and parks that are in and around the city. For the college students and young couples, Miami has some of the most dynamic beaches and vibrant nightlife in the country and is equally famous as a wedding location.
